Hunt Regional Emergency Medical Center at Commerce

“Time is critical when dealing with trauma, heart attack and stroke,” explains Dr. Nate Trayner, Medical Director.  “The nursing staff is trained in advance cardiac and stroke life support, and we are open 24/7 for emergency trauma care.”

If a patient needs to be transferred to Greenville, Dallas, Rockwall or McKinney, a helicopter and ambulance is available once the person is stabilized.  A rapid admission process to the main Greenville hospital takes place should inpatient treatment be required.

“What I like best about Commerce is the people are kind and generous; it is a pleasure to work with them,” says Dr. Trayner.  “The staff is like family.”

This facility includes a multidisciplinary trauma team, 24 trained physicians and nurses, 10 exam rooms, helicopter landing pad, ambulance and EMS housing, laboratory services, imaging, and radiology services (CT scans, X-rays, and bone density screenings.

“The Commerce site has the same capabilities as any major facility in the Dallas-metro area,” Dr. Trayner emphasized. “We are so close; there is no reason to travel to Greenville or elsewhere.  If needed, we will arrange for you to be admitted to Greenville or transferred to exactly the hospital you need after you receive appropriate initial stabilizing treatment.”

Hunt Regional Healthcare have been members of the Commerce Chamber of Commerce for 30 years joining in 1992.
